Tyler is in his fifth year coaching the men’s tennis team at Rhodes, and his third year as the head men’s tennis coach. This is Tyler’s first year running an all-sports camp at Rhodes, and after running successful tennis camps he is excited to also offer a camp where campers can explore multiple sports. “At Rhodes we have a phenomenal coaching staff and they’re excited to introduce new sports to campers and help develop athletic skills in a fun environment.”
Tyler is a graduate of Denison University, where he earned two Bachelor of Arts in education and psychology. While at Denison, Tyler was a four-year member of the Big Red tennis squad where he started in singles and doubles every season, and qualified for the Division III National Championships in doubles. After graduating Tyler received his teaching certification in PreK through 3rd grade and taught 2nd grade before beginning his full-time coaching job at Rhodes.
Abbey is in her first year as the assistant women's soccer coach at Rhodes College. This is Abbey's first year helping out with the all-sports camp at Rhodes. From 2014 to 2017, she helped host Midwestern State University's free kids soccer clinics to introduce soccer to local kids during the spring. Also at Midwestern State University, she helped run the summer soccer camps for kids between the ages of 4 and 13. She has also helped run soccer ID Clinics for high school aged students at various college institutions.
Abbey is a graduate of Midwestern State University, where she earned a Bachelor in Business Administration. She was a four-year member of the women's soccer team and after graduating she earned her MBA in Sports Management from the University of the Southwest.
Pat recently returned to Rhodes for the third time, once as a student-athlete ('14) and now twice on the coaching staff. After Rhodes, McGrail returned to northern Illinois to Fenwick High School where he was the assistant varsity basketball coach, and helped guide his alma mater to the 2017 State Championship game. He helped organized camps during his time in Chicago, and has worked summer camps at Rhodes dating back to his time as a player.
Jenn is about to begin her fourth year season as the Head Women’s Tennis Coach, and has also assisted the Rhodes Volleyball team the past two seasons. Jenn came to Rhodes after coaching tennis at Luther College and Berry College her alma mater. While at Berry Jenn was an All-Conference athlete in two different sports: tennis and volleyball.
